Any sutures will be removed within 5-10 days. Drains may be placed to help escort excess fluids out of the body as you heal.

At first, patients will encounter bruising, swelling, and soreness. These symptoms are normal and will gradually fade within 1-2 weeks. For the first few days, it may be difficult to open your mouth fully. You may also experience some temporary numbness in the skin near your incisions.
