Do You Need a Thigh Lift?
Excess skin on the thighs can often be seen after significant weight loss, or it can simply be a part of the natural aging process. After the fat melts away, many areas of the body can be left with excessive amounts of skin, causing discomfort in clothing and a poor self-image. If you have one or more of the following issues as a result of a significant weight fluctuation or sagging skin, a thigh lift surgery may be right for you:
- Loose or flabby thigh skin
- Inner thigh rashes
- Chaffing
- Excess skin after weight loss
- Disproportionate thighs
The Ideal Thigh Lift Candidate
- Those with a saggy, loose appearance and poor elasticity to thigh skin as a result of age or genetics.
- Women and men who have loose skin on their thighs following weight loss. These patients may also qualify for other procedures, such as a tummy tuck.

Your Thigh Lift Options
There are multiple types of thigh lifts to consider, and we’ll tailor your procedure directly to your individual cosmetic concerns. During your consultation, you and your surgeon will discuss the best fit for you.
Inner or Medial Thigh Lift
This technique addresses laxity from the inner thighs to the knees.
Mini Thigh Lift
This technique addresses sagging in the upper legs.
Bilateral or Outer Thigh Lift
This type of lift can be done in conjunction with a lower-body lift.
Posterior or Spiral Thigh Lift
This technique tightens the skin on the back of the thighs.
The Day of Your Thigh Lift Procedure
Your thigh lift procedure will be performed under general anesthesia and will likely take about two hours to complete. An incision will be made in the groin area beneath your bikini line, enabling your surgeon to remove excess thigh skin as necessary. The tissues below the incision will then be loosened, and the skin will be pulled up and tightened before the incision is closed with sutures.
Deep stitches can also be used to secure the skin and prevent any further sagging as your incision sites heal. Drains will be placed inside the incision site to help collect excess residual fluid that can build up after surgery, but these drains are usually removed after just a few days. We’ll give you a clear idea of what you can expect from your procedure and the recovery process during your consultation.

Thigh Lift Testimonial
"I was referred to Dr. Niccole by a friend of mine. He did my breast aug two weeks ago and I can honestly say it was such an easy, painless process. I am very happy with the outcome and would highly recommend him to anyone considering a BA. I had very minimal pain post-surgery and I am very impressed by how professional everyone in the office has been. CosmetiCare is definitely a place that really cares about its patients."
