How much does a Total Body Lift cost?

The starting price of a total body lift at CosmetiCare in Newport is usually performed in three stages, at roughly $25,000 per stage.

The average cost of a total body lift may vary depending on the amount of skin that needs to be removed, and the shape of your own body.

We also offer up to 24-month financing options to help our patients pay off the cost of their procedure over time. In just minutes, you can apply here to see what you are pre-qualified for before your consultation.

Who's an ideal candidate for a total body lift?

An ideal candidate for a total body lift at CosmetiCare in Newport Beach is any healthy patient with excess skin and small pockets of fat after losing a significant amount of weight.

How long do the results of a total body lift last?

Total body lift results are permanent. However, we recommend that patients maintain their consistent weight, with a healthy diet and regular exercise once fully healed.

What will my scars look like after a total body lift?

Scarring after a body lift depends on a few factors: Skin color, maximum weight, age and genetics, surgical technique, and more.

Compression, scar gel, and laser treatments all help lighten surgical scars over time. Luckily we carry all of these treatments to promote quicker healing!

What Do I Need To Know?

This procedure removes excess skin and re-contours areas of the abdomen, back, hips, upper thighs, and buttocks. Excess skin most often occurs following major weight loss, but also can develop as a result of age or pregnancy. Many patients who have undergone gastric bypass or gastric sleeve surgery experience loose, hanging skin folds after reaching their goal weight. The majority of this skin appears on the lower body and torso but can also be prominent on the arms, face, and breasts.

This sagging skin on the body can cause discomfort to patients who have gone through bariatric weight loss. The skin can cause infection, rash, and irritation underneath the folds of the abdomen, breasts, buttocks, and back. A total body lift can correct this condition in many areas by removing skin and re-contouring the entire trunk and dramatically reshaping the body to create a more proportionate, slender, and firmer look.

How long does it take to recover from a total body lift?

Since total body lifts are customized to each patient, your surgeon will give you the best estimate of how much downtime you’ll need for recovery. However, we typically have patients take 4 weeks off of work and may be able to resume strenuous activities three months post-op.

When will I see my results of a total body lift?

You will notice an improvement in your shape immediately. However, the majority of swelling will subside between three to six months post-op.

What is typically included in a total body lift?

A lower body lift typically includes a butt lift, other/inner thigh lift, tummy tuck, panniculectomy (sometimes known as the stomach apron of loose skin), and a monsplasty. Upper body lifts typically consist of an arm lift and back lift, with a breast lift and/or breast augmentation for women.

Will insurance cover a total body lift procedure?

Total body lifts are considered cosmetic surgery, so they are not covered by insurance.

If cost is of concern, we offer financing options to help our patients pay off the cost of their procedure over time. In just minutes, you can apply here to see what you are pre-qualified for before your consultation.

How Will I Look & Feel Afterwards?

You can learn more about the various procedures that make up a total body lift when you read more about breast enhancement and body contouring procedures. It’s important to educate yourself on specific procedures that address large amounts of excess skin, like a tummy tuck.

Some of these procedures can be performed together but a total body lift is not usually performed with other procedures at the same time. Your surgeon will most likely stage additional procedures for safety, less risk of complications, and better healing. It is very important that you select a surgeon who understands and has experience addressing the unique cosmetic needs of post-weight loss patients.
