Chances are, you’ve seen Brooke Shields and Claire Danes batting their lush lashes in Latisse commercials and ads, and I can tell you that it’s not just for the supermodels and famous people. It works for everybody. I’ve tried it for the past month or so, and my lashes have gotten to the point that I had to actually cut them–they were that crazy long. My lash-selfie above doesn’t do the concept justice; it’s just an everyday shot in between drop-offs. Note: I could definitely amp up the look with very dark mascara and an eye lash curler, but I don’t like my lashes to jump out so much; simply to bat nicely. (I can’t pull off the glam-I-am look of lashes that seriously pop, as they don’t go with my crazy 4-year old and two other kids in tow. Victoria Beckham I am not. )

The application couldn’t be simpler. Just squeeze a drop in the cap, dip your brush and apply like eyeliner on each lid. There–you’re done. No eyelash extensions to tend to. Just a daily dose of Latisse. My lashes got so long that I stopped using it every day and opted for every few days only.

Anyway, I promise you that your lashes will be bat-worthy. And how much you bat is up to you.

For optimal results, give Latisse four weeks to take full effect. And know that when you stop using Latisse, your lashes will return to days of ole (like Cinderella after the ball). You constantly shed lashes, so that’s why you have to continually use the solution for best results.

The great gals at CosmetiCare can give you all the best tips and tricks when it comes to using the product. Just pop by the office and tell them you’d like to buy a Matisse kit. (Includes solution and brushes and lasts about 6 weeks. Cost: $150 approx. No appointment necessary.)

Have fun playing around with your new look—you won’t believe how long lashes (especially curled) will change your face and expressions.
