Choosing Between CoolSculpting and Liposuction

Heard of CoolSculpting? Curious to know if it’s as good as Liposuction for riding yourself of unwanted fat or just another gimmick with false promises? I can tell you that Liposuction definitely works but it’s not the only game in town. I have the breakdown of the two procedures offered at CosmetiCare so you can decide for yourself which is best for you. Of course, these options should be discussed with your doctor to be sure you are a candidate and remember, neither one should be done as a weight loss fix.

My journey as a CosmetiCare ambassador this past year has been a great one! I made a conscious decision a couple years back to get my act together and get ready for my 50th. Undoing the neglect has taken almost as much time as the years I didn’t take care of my body and skin I’m finding. I am happy to say I see the tide changing and I have fought time well these past couple years. I am beyond ecstatic with my

ultrasonic assisted liposuction results in the areas I had treated but I still have room for improvement. I have one area I would liked to address still and I’m considering the latest FDA approved procedure CoolSculpting to tackle it. This got me thinking, since CoolSculpting is producing amazing results comparable to Liposuction, let’s compare the two. Liposuction (surgical option) is the most popular Cosmetic Procedure in America. It might not be an option for many but there is a reason it is the number 1 elective procedure even with the downtime, cost and having to “go under”. Check out my posts below for my pre and post Liposuction journey for all the details. The Pros: Aggressive and complete fat reduction •    Better contouring •    Immediate results •    Option of simultaneous surgical procedures Cons: Possible surgical risks: as there are with any surgical procedures •    Downtime: From a few days to a couple weeks with some activity restrictions for 3 to 6 weeks •    Potential for surface irregularities

Pretty impressive results! Images via CoolSculpting website CoolSculpting (non surgical) procedures are quick, virtually painless, non-invasive and non-surgical. Selective freezing of fat cells reduced fatty bulges by 20 to 25%. Patients typically need 1-3 treatments on the same area to get noticeable results. The entire process takes less than an hour, and results are achieved in a few weeks after your body flushes out the dead fat. Results are not immediate but the end results can be extraordinary. The Pros: Noninvasive technology •    None to minimal down time •    Way fewer risks (though not risk-free) •    Lower costs, depending on the amount done •    Option for those who can’t have or don’t want surgery The Cons: Less dramatic results compared to liposuction •    Surface irregularities (same with Liposuction) •    treatable body part areas is limited by fit of application head •    Treatable areas must be pinchable to fit into cup

Those before and after pictures are pretty amazing, right? Bottom line, CoolSculpting is often used as a non-surgical and non-invasive alternative to the more intensive treatment like Liposuction. While the results aren’t quite as dramatic, CoolSculpting offers a quick, easy, and painless way to remove fat from your body without going under. If you want more info, CosmetiCare offers free consultations with zero obligation. Better yet, interested in see a live demo of the procedure and get a consultation?
