What areas can FaceTite treat?

While FaceTite is most often used on the face and neck, it can be an effective method to improve laxity in other areas, including:

  • Jowls
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Cheeks
  • Jawline

For other areas of the body, you may be the ideal candidate for the similar treatment, BodyTite. FaceTite helps to stimulate collagen in the treatment areas to promote more youthful looking skin.

What are the benefits of FaceTite?

FaceTite has many advantages, along with having results that resemble a mini facelift. It is not an ideal treatment for those with severe skin laxity. However, it does offer these benefits.

Directional Thermal Field: This provides the ability for fat coagulation and tissue remodeling

Dual Temperature Technologies: These dual temperatures provide greater patient safety and control when compared to other technologies.

Energy Concentration: A 100% energy concentration in the treatment zone allows for precision.

Am I an Ideal Candidate?

Anyone with loose, sagging skin in the face and neck may benefit from FaceTite. This treatment is safe for all skin types, and it can be effective for those experiencing signs of aging, but do not want to have a facelift. It can also be used on those who have already had a facelift and want to maintain the results without having more surgery.

The ideal candidate is someone with mild to moderate skin laxity in the lower face and neck, but may not be ready for a facelift. If you want a more youthful looking face, but don’t want to have invasive surgery, FaceTite could be for you.

The FaceTite Procedure

The facial skin tightening procedure is done at your plastic surgeon’s office under local anesthesia. This means that you are awake and aware during treatment.

The surgeon will numb the treatment areas with a special cream. You’ll also receive a sedative to help with any discomfort. Then, a light sedative will be injected and a tumescent anesthetic.

The surgeon will then create a small incision near the treatment area. No sutures will be required and no scar will be left behind. Next, a probe is inserted through that tiny incision. The probe then heats the underlying tissues, making them tighten and contract. The tube will melt fat, tighten skin, and tighten the fibers underneath the skin to reduce overall sagging and leave smoother skin.

Most patients don’t experience too much discomfort. While you will be conscious during the procedure, it is important to remember to have someone to drive you home after the treatment.

Can FaceTite be combined with other treatments?

FaceTite can be combined with other treatments to maximize results and improve areas of treatment further.

Liposuction

FaceTite, like BodyTite, can be combined with liposuction in areas that have extra fat, like the neck and jowls to maximize the skin tightening and contoured results.

Facial rejuvenation procedures

You can also combine your FaceTite procedure with other facial rejuvenation procedures, like injectable treatments which restore lost volume and shape in the lips, cheeks, temples, and jawline.

To supplement the results further, your surgeon may also recommend medical-grade skin care products.

FaceTite Orange County Downtime and Recovery

The treatment area may be red after the procedure, but this subsides within an hour. Many patients report that they experience swelling after the first day that lasts up to ten days but will continue to improve after that time period.

Your surgeon may recommend that you wear a head garment for a few days to a couple of weeks. The skin will continue to tighten for three to six months.

During recovery, you should avoid heavy lifting. Sunscreen should be used even if you are exposed to indirect sunlight before and after recovery.

What is the recovery time?

After your FaceTite treatment, you will return home with someone you have chosen as your designated driver. Within a few days, you will be able to return to routine activities. Recovery time will vary from patient to patient and depends on treatment areas. However, your board certified plastic surgeon will review recovery with you so that you know what to expect and have specific instructions to follow.

How long do the results last?

FaceTite is able to offer a 40-50% surgical result. Good candidates will experience a dramatic improvement in skin laxity following recovery. These results will continue to improve in the following months. The results can last for up to five years. It’s important to maintain your results by limiting sun exposure and using sunscreen.

Are multiple treatments necessary?

Most patients typically require only one treatment for each area that’s treated. However, some patients may need up to two treatments for desired results.

Are there side effects or complications?

FaceTite is one of the safest facial rejuvenation treatments available. Unlike invasive procedures like facelifts, it does not require general anesthesia, muscle repositioning, or extensive downtime.

How does it compare to other facial rejuvenation procedures?

The main difference between FaceTite and other facial rejuvenation treatments is that FaceTite is less painful and leaves no scars. The small incisions allow for optimal healing.

FaceTite vs. Ultherapy and Thermage

Other procedures use ultrasound technology and thermage (RF technology). These apply energy externally to the surface of the skin. Many believe that there are limitations to applying these energies externally and they aren’t as effective.

Is FaceTite Safe?

The procedure is safe for patients. The surgeon is able to monitor and adjust the temperatures of electrodes in real time for precision and patient safety. The temperature can be completely and carefully controlled on both the surface of the skin and the underlying layers of skin. The surgeon is also provided with continual feedback from the technology in the form of impedance measurements, so that he or she can make adjustments continually and as needed. The cannula, or tube, tip is nimble and versatile, which allows for stamping and movement treatment techniques.

As always, the best way to ensure your safety is to find an experienced, board certified cosmetic surgeon. During your initial consultation, make sure to ask any questions that you have so that you will feel more comfortable the day of treatment.

How much does FaceTite cost?

The cost of FaceTite treatment varies depending on several factors:

  • How loose the skin is
  • Number of treatment areas
  • Surgeon’s experience and geographic location

FaceTite vs Facelift

A traditional facelift involves cosmetic surgeons tightening the muscles in the face to achieve a more pleasing contour, thus giving your face a rejuvenated appearance. This is an invasive procedure that requires incisions around the treated areas that can leave noticeable scarring. Traditional facelifts also have a lengthy recovery time that can last for weeks. These procedures are recommended for those who have more severe skin laxity.

On the other hand, FaceTite avoids any significant incisions. It also stimulates collagen production in the treated areas, helping you to achieve a more youthful appearance. The recovery period for a FaceTite treatment is just a few days. Your face will also have less scarring that’s unnoticeable. This treatment is recommended for those with mild skin laxity.
