Breast augmentation using silicone filled breast implants from Mentor. Right and left implants contain 450cc. Profile: moderate plus. Placement: submuscular. Incision type: superior periareolar.
At our practice in Orange County, breast implants may be filled either with saline or silicone gel. The patient shown above, age 35, had an initial consultation with a CosmetiCare surgeon in which it was decided that silicone gel would be more able to provide the results she wanted.
This patient wanted to change both the size and shape of her breasts to increase fullness. Prior to surgery, her breasts hung lower and had an asymmetrical look. Because of their longer shape, this patient also had a flat upper chest above her breasts rather than a smooth line from collarbone to nipple.
Her Orange County cosmetic surgery was performed using two 450cc silicone gel implants from Mentor. The profile is moderate plus, with a submuscular placement. Incision placement was superior periareolar (around the areola) to ensure minimal scarring.
Following her breast augmentation, this patient has much fuller and rounder breasts. The lines of her figure are now smooth and uninterrupted, and her breasts sit higher on her chest. The breasts retain a natural look and feel from the silicone gel, with an attractive and flattering shape.
