CosmetiCare is located in beautiful Newport Beach, California right on the water. The location is absolutely gorgeous and so is the office. I went to see Rosie, who is the technician that performed the procedure on me. She is seriously the sweetest and answers any and all questions you may have about Cool Sculpting. Essentially, what it does is freeze the fat cells, which then slowly over time are excreted through your lymphatic system. Since, I had been once before, I knew what the drill was. Before you arrive, you are instructed to take 3 Motrin to help manage any pain you may have during the treatment. Once you get to the office, the staff takes you back to your own private room where Rosie determines the best course of action. Next, your area that you are treating is marked and the Cool Sculpting pads are applied. The actual treatment takes about an hour and this time around I treated two areas on my abs, so it took about 2 hours. Once the machine is on, you gradually notice the area getting cooler and cooler, till it eventually just goes numb. At this point, you really have no sensation and it is completely painless. Actually, to be clear even as the area of your body is cooling, it really is not painful at all, just cold.
Once you are numb, you continue to lay on the procedure table with a warm cozy blanket, while you watch your favorite Netflix show, or just admire the gorgeous ocean view! It really is such an easy treatment to get and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get rid of unwanted fat. Whether you are a mom or just someone you has a stubborn area of fat on their body, this could be the procedure for you! I will be keeping everyone posted on my results in the coming weeks! As for now, I am slowly healing as the sensation returns back to my abs and my body rids itself of the excess fat cells. As Rosie said, it can take up to 6 months to see your full results from the treatment but some people see them even sooner! Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions or would just like to know more about the treatment. As always, thank you for stopping by! xoxo, Amber
