Dr. Sami Hamamji, M.D.Like many physicians, Sami Hamamji, M.D. chose a career in medicine as the result of his sincere desire to help people get well, feel good, and maintain a healthy, vibrant lifestyle. He also had a desire to provide the most advanced medical technology with the highest level of compassion and care to his patients.

Dr. Hamamji received his medical degree from St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He then completed his General Surgery training at the University of Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and became Board Certified in the field of General Surgery. He was honored as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Hamamji is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.

After moving to California, Dr. Hamamji obtained certification from the American Board of Surgery and became a member of the American College of Surgeons. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Today, he specializes in the popular Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery for weight loss. Due to his desire to provide the most advanced techniques and equipment, Dr. Hamamji continues to incorporate cutting-edge technology in his practice including the use of robotics in advancing the field of minimally invasive surgery.

But while he may incorporate newer state-of-the-art technology, the level of compassion and genuine care for his patients remains the same. Dr. Hamamji has a unique desire to help his patients succeed in their journey to achieve a new, healthy outlook on life.
